It’s almost here! Our upcoming dance on October 19th will be a Fall Formal. Please check out the link below if you’d like to help make this a magical night for our kids!
This year, the Tiger Family PTA will provide $25,000 toward school programs, assemblies, community events and field trip experiences.
We need your help supporting the 475 students who attend Shadow Lake.
Starting today, we are launching our “non-fundraiser fundraiser”.
Instead of selling cookie dough or candles, we’re asking families to give directly so that 100% of donations can help support:
- Literacy programs for all 475+ students
- STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) experiences in Kindergarten through 5th grade
- Family nights building our community
- School-wide art lessons
- Staff appreciation events
- School assemblies to extend students’ learning
- Field trip experiences in Kindergarten through 5th grade
When We Reach Our Goal
Not only will our students receive 100% of the funding needed to support their Shadow Lake experience, but they’ll also celebrate with a BIG bonus!
Mr. Hanson (our principal) and Mr. Mitchell (our dean of students) will shave their heads and Mr. Rene (one of our P.E. teachers) will shave his beard.
We need your help to make it happen.
Help make this the best year yet for our tigers by donating HERE.
Hey SLES families! We are signing up volunteers to help with Popcorn Fridays this year. If you haven’t helped with popcorn before, it is a fun volunteer opportunity where you can watch your kiddos play at recess, get to know other parents, and be revered by all the wonderful SLES students as a POPCORN LADY (or GUY)!
Popcorn is sold during morning recess as follows:
Grade 2 and 3 10:00- 10:15am
Grade K and 1 10:20- 10:35am
Grade 5 10:50- 11:15am
Grade 4 11:00- 11:15am
Ideally, volunteers would arrive at 8:45 to help set up and get popping, however, that is flexible with emphasis on committing to be there 1/2 hour before first recess and 1/2 hour after last.
You are welcome to bring siblings as well!
Please feel free to reach out to your popcorn chairs, Mandy Schuder and Diane Iddins, with any questions, thanks!
It’s time to place your orders for Spirit Wear! This year we have T-shirts and sweatshirts in both kids and adults and we have a cool baseball hat too! All items can have a name added to the back. Store is open now and closes on September 23rd. Check it out!
Book Fair is the second week of school this year! I would love your help and to make a new friend or two this fall! Please come and join us. No experience needed, it is such a fun way to get to know the teachers and kids. All the books sold will help us get new books and resources in the Library. You do need to be a member of the PTA because we have to handle money. If you are not a member but would like to help contact Jamie Fairbanks email@example.com and she will help you get involved.
Looking for something to do those first few days alone…. Our library needs you!
If you have ever been to the SLES Library you know that we are lucky enough to have one of the nicest and coolest librarians ever! In order to get the library up and running our librarian would love some help the first week of school. You would be covering books and helping get new books on the shelf. It is an easy task and you will not be in a classroom, so littles could come along. Thanks for your help!
