Good afternoon Tiger Families,
We are so excited for the start of the 2020-2021 school year. Although we would rather be welcoming all of our students back to Shadow Lake on Tuesday the 1st, we know that we will still have a great beginning of the school year as we start off remotely. This year remote learning will look a little different than it did last spring. We will still have online lessons and online work, but we will also have some work and assignments done on paper and in journals. To help facilitate this other work, the Tahoma School District and Shadow Lake will be providing your child the necessary school supplies. We will be having “supply pick-ups” throughout the time we are doing remote learning.
Our first supply pick-up will be next Thursday, September 3rd, between the hours of 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM at Shadow Lake Elementary School.
Please keep the following in mind:
• There will be signs and tents for each of our grade levels for supply pick up and adults there to facilitate the supply pick up.
• For the health & safety of everyone involved, everybody (students included) must remain in their vehicle the entire time – social distancing is a must. (There will be no on-campus visits of any kind to classrooms, playground, bathrooms, etc.)
• We highly encourage people to consider using PPE (personal protective equipment – masks, gloves, have hand sanitizer readily available) during this event
• If you are someone falls into a high-risk category as defined by the CDC and/or have specific concerns or need special accommodations, please email firstname.lastname@example.org for special arrangements.
Supply Pick-Up Schedule, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Thursday, September 3rd – District generated supplies
Thursday, September 17th – Teacher/ building generated supplies
Thursday, October 1st – Teacher/ building generated Supplies

We understand that this is (and has been) a very stressful time for everyone involved – families, students, staff members, etc. We are doing everything we reasonably can whilst keeping safety/health first and following CDC guidelines. Thank you in advance for understanding the expectations set forth in this process.
